We Love Cacti. So of course we had to have Scout edition's New cactus print.
A cactus is a member of the plant family Cactaceae. Cacti occur in a wide range of shapes and sizes. Most cacti live in habitats subject to at least some drought. Many live in extremely dry environments. Cacti show many adaptations to conserve water. Almost all cacti are succulents. Unlike many other succulents the stem is the only part of most cacti where this vital process takes place. Cactus stems store water. As well as defending against herbivores, spines help prevent water loss by reducing air flow close to the cactus and providing some shade.
Each print was printed on the risograph using soy based inks.
Riso printing is an energy efficient print process. Similar to screen printing process, artwork is burnt onto a master and the master it is then fed through a print drum layer by layer. Please note that each print will vary very slightly, making each one one-off and unique. Offsetting may occur, the imperfections we think add extra charm.
Prints are printed on quality FSC certified paper, UK.
