A fun and easy craft to do with children, this safe and non-toxic natural colour dye kit transforms eggs into a colourful display. With 5 different colour sachets, each one contains enough dye for around 5 eggs. Gentle shades rather than vibrant, the final colour may vary between eggs due to the natural properties of the eggshell.
Instructions:
Fill a small stainless steel saucepan (enameled pots will stain) with 750 ml of cold water and stir inone sachet.
Place 5-7 raw, cleaned eggs into the water, which needs to completely cover the egg. Bring to the boil, stirring gently stir to thoroughly mix in the colour, and boil for a further 7-10 minutes.
Rinse the eggs in cold water to set the colour.
Reusing the colour will reduce its intensity.
